What techniques to use to visualize/model the architecture of a Unity3D game/application?

UML is very useful to visualize and model the architecture of OOP software. While the component based approach of unity is also a flavour of OOP, I find it difficult to visualize the architecture of a Unity3D game with it, as the aggregation/interaction of different components seems to be of more importance to the functionality of different objects than inheritance for example. Are there alternative modeling techniques that are better suited for unity?
